Legalization of Marijuana

There are currently 14 states that have legalized the recreational use of marijuana. Colorado made about $100 million in taxes on marijuana in 2015 alone. These taxes were used to build roads, make better schools, and make all-round better communities. This also means less money going to criminals and more money going to the state. 50,000 people die from alcohol poisoning each year whereas there are zero reported annual deaths from nontoxic marijuana. It is our goal to make the recreational use of marijuana federally legal during our term in office.
