Stem Cell Research

“Our party disagrees with embryonic stem cell research.” We disagree with this method because we believe it is wrong to destroy a fertilized embryo since it has the potentate to become a child. Although embryonic stem cell therapy is more effective than other alternatives, our campaign is pro live and believes in being a voice for the voiceless. Embryonic stem cells are also known as pluriotent cells because they can become any of the three germ layers ectoderm, mesoderm, or endoderm. The largest ethical problem with embryonic stem cell research is that early-stage human embryos are destroyed during the process of stem cell research. While another type of stem cell come from one’s bone marrow, blood, umbilical cord or their skin. These stem cells are known as multipotent cells. The difference between them is that adult stem cells are unable to produce a human being which negates most ethical concerns. While multipotent stem cell research has been around for about 50 years it has also lead to many clinical therapies for leukemia and other blood disorders. Adult stem cell treatment are less likely to be rejected because their your own cells. Since embryonic stem cell research is still relatively new, some discoveries have not yet transitioned into a clinical treatment.
